Ministers for Women Priorities
In July 2007 the Minister for Women and Equality,
Harriet Harman MP QC set out the government's priorities for women.
She delivered an oral statement and published a written ministerial
statement to the House of Commons announcing these priorities.
Following this a public consultation was led by
the Women's National Commission to seek the views of its members.
these were fed in to the work to deliver these priorities.
The Ministers for Women and Equality have now
published 'Women's Changing
Lives' a two year on progress report on the priority
areas which are;
- Supporting families
- Tackling violence against women
- Increasing representation of women from ethnic minority
communities
