The Commonwealth Plan of Action for Gender Equality (2005–2015) provides the framework within which the Commonwealth advances its commitment to gender equality and equity. The Plan of Action focuses on four critical areas: Gender, democracy, peace and conflict ; Gender, human rights and law; Gender, poverty eradication and economic empowerment, and; Gender and HIV/AIDS. The EU/International Team deals with specific actions arising under the Commonwealth Action Plan, including representation at the annual Commonwealth meeting.
