As part of the Comprehensive Spending Review 2007, the Government published
a range of Public Service Agreements (PSAs) which set out its
plans for the period 2008-2011.
PSAs represent the Government's key priorities for the spending
period. The Government Equalities Office is the lead Department for
the Equalities PSA . Contributing
Departments include Communities and Local Government, the Department
of Health, the Department for Work and Pensions, although all
Departments have a role to play. Overview
While PSAs are set across Government, each Department has its own
Departmental Strategic Objectives (DSOs) setting out the totality of

Given its main focus in leading delivery of the Equality PSA, the
DSO for the Government Equalities Office reflects the wording of the
PSA and is supported by some of the same indicators. The Government
Equalities Office’s DSO is as follows.
