Equality Data
The Government Equalities Office (GEO) is determined to be
transparent in accounting for its performance. This is
particularly important in our action to address discrimination and
promote equality. The GEO will shortly be consulting on its
first single equality scheme, as set out in our Business
Plan. Until then, we set out below the provisional
breakdown of our staff according to gender and ethnic origin.
These figures will be updated on a regular basis.
107 people work in the GEO of whom 65% are women
and 35% men.
-
There are 7 senior civil servants in our senior
management team.
-
The Gender Pay Gap is currently estimated at
minus 7.7%, that is, the median pay of women in GEO is higher than
the median pay of men.
-
22% of GEO staff are from ethnic minority
background .
-
4% of GEO staff have disclosed that
they have a disability.
Appointments to public bodies
